This was just posted regarding the archaeological conference in Blanding...not bad for a meeting in a dry town in the middle of nowhere :)

I have final numbers (finally) on Pecos Conference attendance. I have 412 names in the registration database (including seven people who didn’t actually register but bought t-shirts or dinners during on-site registration). Presumably there were others who didn’t register but I have no way to account for them. We had attendees from 24 different states plus Canada. Here is the attendance by state (not including the three Canadians [all from British Columbia] and three people for whom I have names but no address):
AZ 105 CO 100 UT 80 NM 56 CA 17 NV 10 PA 4 ID 3 MD 3 NC 3 NY 3 OH 3 TX 3 IL 2 LA 2 MT 2 NE 2 WA 2 IN 1 MA 1 MI 1 ND 1 OR 1 TN 1.
Those totals include 57 students and 14 people who took advantage of our offer of free registration for San Juan County residents.
Financially, I’m still waiting on a couple of things before I’ll know final numbers, but I’m sure at this point that we didn’t lose money.
