Remind me never to go to IKEA in the middle of the afternoon. It was a madhouse!

I usually go first thing when they open (99 cent breakfast!). I know the layout and where the shortcuts are so can get in and out fairly quickly, especially when I know the sections I want to visit. Today I wanted to look at lamps. I have a table lamp from IKEA and I wanted to get the floor lamp that goes with it. They don't carry it any more!

The horde of people was bad enough, but I also had to contend with children and strollers which made the aisles all the worse. Then, when I got to the checkout with my two(!) small items I almost gave up, the lines were so long. But I had already battled the crowd and won my way through. I wasn't going to give up that quickly. I eyed the lines and (for once!) got on the line that moved fastest. Then a quick run through the food section and I was out. Two hours later. Never again (which is something I heard several shoppers say as I weaved my way through).
