My a/c units, after two summers, are getting noisy, rattly, groany, and loud.

I don't want to replace them but I can't imagine putting up with the racket next summer.

Are they window units? They should last at least 5 years

yeah, one I had (a portable one) only made it 2 years.The rattle was unbearable. I had to replace it this summer. -- nm
