banks have fraud prevention departments in place to deal with leaks / hacks.

a photo group, notsomuch.
I am in no way, shape or form, saying that the hacking is right, or it is the victims fault. It just makes less sense in hindsight to even put them out there to risk.
Like walking through the ghetto with hundreds sticking out of your pockets.
