These people have been wronged. But no redress puts the genie back in the bottle.
And the lesson that needs to be learned is that what you hope will remain private and what is likely to remain private just aren't the same thing, never will be the same thing, and moral outrage about it won't change that.
Digital files are never. ever (to infinity) going to be perfectly secure. Get comfortable with that, because that is the reality we live in.
