Credit card fees for the business can be huge up here. Debit is cheaper to use if not using cash....

Its become a bug issue amongst smalller businesses with some paying as much as 5% of the sale. There are a number of newer credit card reward programs and a number of small businesses did not want to accept them because it effectively kills a lot of their profit on the sale.
