Ronan was Thanos's lackey. Henchman, almost. Sure, he was a fearsome warrior and all that - but he didn't do anything on his own.

Until he stole the gem.

High on power, feeling invincible, sure - why not spend a few seconds questioning the bizarre actions of one foolish mortal?

What could possibly go wrong, right?
