no, do not use those jiffy pellets with any starts you will need to use intermeadiate transplant pots

the main root(s) are fragile, the strss of moving the peat pot and looser potting/compost of an intermeadiate pot usually, almost always damages to main roots which stunts growth. the tomatomaniac group at yahoogroups has photos showing trays full of of either way.

those peat pots are fine for veggies and flowers where you sprout and transplant the peat pot directly in the soil, 9but still, you need to loosen the webbing as even though weak can stil strangle some of the roots like a six pack ring around a seals neck.
