I stand by my assertion that if Disney were smart, they'd be working on a crossover of Alice/Lone Ranger/Jon Carter/Jack Sparrow right now.

Alice, Lone Ranger and Jon Carter are all in the same general era (mid to late 19th century). And Jack Sparrow can arguably called immortal. They could probably toss in a couple of others that don't come to mind right now.

The Avengers wasn't just Disney and Marvel throw some characters together who didn't fit or have any backstory, and they magically coalesced.
