I was aware of the Avebury stone circle which is 25 miles to the north but as they say it looks like there's a lot more in that whole area. -- nm

confusing article - are they saying all the discoveries are within a reasonable distance to stonehenge, or just that there are more henges in the area -- nm

I read it as "Where once we thought that SHenge was the center of any and all activity, it's really only one area out of hundreds of similar areas." -- nm

Follow the link to the Independent. They're counting burial mounds, livestock enclosures, etc., in the a 4.5 sq.m. area that includes Stonehenge. -- nm
