To wish him a happy birthday today. For some reason (although this has never happened in the 12 years we've lived in Australia) the telecom company kept giving me a message that my parents' phone wouldn't accept calls from blocked numbers. When I told Julie this, she dead panned "Yeah, Mom and Dad told me they were going to block your number because you keep bugging them." It was so stunningly inappropriate, it just cut right through the sad and let me laugh for a minute.
