Exhibitors are the ones who took it on the chins. The overwhelming majority of movies distributed this summer were ultimately profitable.

The key is that they were not as profitable as had been hoped. As I said in this week's MMQB, the key is in the lost revenue from opportunity cost for subpar movies.
