I have avoidance issues

Today on LYC ST self-therapy: I have this annoying habit of when I make a mistake of getting all anxious about it so then I avoid dealing with it. Of course, then it usually just gets bigger and therefore I want to avoid it even more, etc. (though admittedly on some rare occasions it does thankfully just happen to go away). It's a little odd because once I do decide to (or have no other choice but to) deal with I'm usually pretty good at it and always feel so much better about it, but I never seem to learn that lesson for the next time.
I guess the easiest solution would be to just never make mistakes.
