No but I don't think anyone expected so many to develop serious brain problems.

I imagine most people think of the broken bones and physical injuries you can see and not the mental ones that are hidden for years.
They will allow Wes Welker to play despite having three concussions in the last year. Fuck his health, just put him out there to catch football until he loses control of his arms and legs.
It's as much on the players for going out there but the league has avoided looking into and discussing how dangerous football really is.
