Goes thru fits and spurts. Watched most of last year, but took a break post-Christmas.

And I've been a fan of the show since pretty much 2000 so it's not like I'm seeing this as a one-off.
This is a complaint I have of the way Jon and the show hides behind the comedy/entertainment show mantle until they get their noses bent out of shape. Then all of a sudden, they must "assume the mantle" of the hardnosed investigative reporter and call someone else out.
It's never sat well with me. Like I wrote to Mel, there's a difference between a friendly needle (Bill Kristol appearances) and an outright attack.
I know what last night was.
