I asked them to check out the highway in case cars were coming. Every time I turned around to check they were looking at me like I was doing improvised heart surgery. I constantly had to reming them to look out for my safety.
Then I asked them to ride more slowly and instead I had to reming them all the time not to go at 80 mph...
It's a lot easier than people think it is IMO
