its Phantom and Evita). Because the orchestra performers are typically there for years and years, it's extremely difficult to get a permanent position once someone retires. There's so much competition for an open position.

Well, he found out on Friday that he was chosen to replace the retiring second trumpet in Phantom of the Opera. I'm so happy for him!
