It ignores the fact that very few writers are capable of juggling layered plots. Lost's guys have proven since then they weren't some of those writer

How many things have they basically been caught lying in during the cycle, "It's not puragtory, we have it all planned out..." to the various clues they left that went nowhere.

This ode to thinking ignores some of the great dramas on tv where things are handled competently...

there was shit drama in 2003, there was shit drama in 2005, there's shit drama in 2013 and 2015.

There was also the Sopranos and the West Wing in 2003 and Breaking Bad and GoT now.

Lost only proved that people would watch a show that was interesting until it collapsed under its own weight. Nothing's changed.
