Six Feet Under Season 5 Episode 12 (spoilers) Final One

I was worried the hype would be too much and I wouldn't like the episode, but it didn't. Fantastic finish.

Lots of surprises

First one was A Birth Card instead of a Death Card. Made me smile at Willa's Birth Card.

Why was "Just Shoot me" playing a lot in the background?

Funniest scene was Nate lip-synching to "I just want to celebrate". So unexpected.

Most poignant scene was Ruth and Brenda sitting on the stairs looking at Pictures and then Ruth offering to help with Maya and Willa (I love that name)

And Olivier singing to Willa in French. Very Touching.

Margaret, you haven't been on the likability list before but you are on there now. Kept Nate from the bottom.

Montage at the end was very well done. Even though he was shot, Keith had the best death. Everybody else died in bed sitting down. I guess Rico's would be the next best, he was on a cruise.

Finally, I watched it a couple of times, who was in the Red hoodie? I thought at first, yeah it David, but then Nate is sitting at the end of the bed not saying anything. Pretty sure it is David but not completely sure.

Final Likability rankings (Just for this episode, not the whole show)

1. Ruth - She is free. Took her a long time but she is free. Her being there for Brenda and the kids was great

2. Keith - He took control, got David out of the house and was his usual calming influence. Plus he died in a hail of gunfire.

3. Brenda - She has begun to relax and she will be a great mother. She was able to keep it under control when Nate was being a DICK!

4. Claire - Sobered up and started being there for other people. Made it out of the house with Nate's pushing.

5. Ted - Steady like Keith is, willing to pose for naked pictures but wouldn't be there for the going away dinner.

6. Rico - Was kinda on his own and his blowup to David was justified.

7. David - Was all over the map this episode. Scared, mad, asshole, scared again, violent, at peace, happy. The way he was at the farewell dinner, is the way he should have been at the beginning of the series.

8. George - For the most part was very likable, very caring. But that one scene where he wasn't truthful to Ruth about Maggie, sent him way down here.

9. Nate - Like David he was up and down this episode. Great lip-synching, pushed Claire out the door, but for the most part, he was a real DICK to Brenda. I didn't get it. He would be in the basement except for...

10. Margaret - She was very obnoxious to Ruth when she picked up Maya, but her pushing Monkey off the edge of the chair for that Okapi, Grrrrr.

That's all folks, I even watched through the end of the final credits hoping there would be more.

I didn't want it to end
