Or, the more likely thing since the captain does absolutely nothing of note....the US players just aren't good enough.

Europe's players are better in these formats, yet we still get stuck with Phil, and Furyk and guys who just can't play when the stakes are highest.
Our best players are two kids who just aren't old enough to know any better.
