one thing i will always say about boston fans is that they tend to be good about this kind of thing...

generally as a fan base they (errr...we) can be a really nasty and bad tempered bunch about great players from outside town. but when outside stars come by for the last time for something like this, some switch gets flipped where everyone somehow becomes appreciative and gracious for a brief shining moment.
