even though you don't want to be my ST-spouse *sigh*, here's the thing for getting admin rights ...

you download an image of a boot disc (CD or floppy) and write it onto a disc

this is a small linux distribution that runs a stuff to blank the windows admin password for that machine

boot to it and normally you just hit enter to accept the defaults to the prompts

shut down this session, reboot, and log in as Administrator (with no password!)

"manage" the user accounts and add yourself to the admin group

reboot again and log into your own account.

now you can install whatever you need to
