Dear ST Forum: I've always read the stories, I never believed them until it happened to me...

(no sexy stuff below but it was random)...

I was on my way home when a tall Brazilian woman stopped me on the sidewalk and drawled, "you know where is this?" and she showed me her phone.

On her phone she has the wiki page for Edgar Allan Poe. I sort of looked at it, then up at her and expected to see a hatchet coming down on my nose but she sort of blinked at me quietly. After a few seconds of silence she says, "He born here. Where is house?"

I then look at the wiki page and see that he was born in Boston (I think I knew this from "The Following" but it didn't immediately register).

I then began studying wiki for the address to no avail. Then I got real curious and googled. After a few minutes we found that he was born on Boylston St in the Back Bay and I gave her walking directions (about 15mins walk from where we were).

She smiled, took her phone back and was off.

I do enjoy living here for these random incidents.
