we're a looooooong way from there. it's really all about infection prevention, which like most preventative measures people talk about a lot but....

don't spend a lot of money on until something bad happens. the biggest screwup here is apparently that the patient told hospital workers his travel history when he went in the first time but this was not communicated nor considered that important so he got sent home. that's a botch job, if they made the liberia connection like they probably should have right off, they could have isolated him toot sweet.
