they paid some lip service and put the stall on (hey we can't get these committees up and running until february!) knowing full well the storm will pass, goodell can stay where he is and the money will just keep rolling in. it's just like the cte stuff--they know that in any event, the fan base doesn't really care enough to stop watching. thst pretty much transcends all of this small stuff.
