Is it possible to take this one step further?

Teams A and B tie for the division crown. One game playoff to decide who wins it. Say A wins.
After the loss, B is now tied with team C for the final wild-card playoff spot. One game playoff. Say B wins that.
Now B plays the wild-card game against D.
If the first game counts as part of the regular season, this won't work since team B will have played 163 games to team C's 162 and a tie would not be possible, but dare to dream!
