my SIL called me and was like "okay, the form asks 'what church each of the godparents is affiliated with. what do i say?"

me - I have no idea. i think my dad was United. that's about as close as i get. let me check with my mother.

I call my mother.

she says "yes, your dad was United and we actually got married in the United Church. In fact, i still take yoga lessons in that same church. Put that down. That's an affiliation."

so i did.
