decision due to new information or a new test result. Rollercoaster of tears and joy and tears and joy and tears and guarded optimism.
her kidneys aren't working well, but they think they can stabilize them and get her on some meds.
She hasn't eaten in 2 days and is so skinny, but they say that if they get her kidneys back working she will eat and the IV they have her on will get her hydrated again.
Oh a thousand bucks later we will find out Monday how well this is working. They are keeping her for 48 hours to pump her with fluids via and IV to rehydrate her and get her on some medicine to get her appetite back, and a medicine to get her kidneys working better.
There was a lot more to this story, but I am too drained to type it all out.
From all we talked about with the vet and the tests they ran, I am hoping we can get another year, and give it about a 75% chance of working. Just some odds I kind of came up with, with all the information we had to digest tonight.
Kind of numb. I go from optimistic, to did we just piss a grand away and are going to end up in the same place next week? I wish we had a crystal ball. We were prepared to do this several times tonight, and now we are in limbo. But like I said, optimistic we can get another year or more.
This is all for a silly cat, okay she's cute and she makes us happy, but still a silly cat.
