People saying something on a poll is a lot different than them actually doing anything about it.

If 900M people believed that apostasy should be punished by death, like actually actually believed that, there would be a hell of a lot of crazy violence in the world.
There are some scary effing beliefs everywhere once you get past the top level sane people - but people don't act on those.
