I think you're talking about the linked survey. But Islam is a diverse religion, and just because a majority in some areas believe a thing, doesn't mean that all Muslims believe that thing.
The other thing is that the Bill Maher type of statements are really aimed at spreading fear about Muslims living in America. But do you think many American Muslims believe in death for leaving Islam?
