I've seen a couple of stories this past week suggesting that Bernie Sanders would force Hillary to run to the left.

I don't believe Bernie has a chance of winning. He's too liberal to create the wide coalition needed to win. But, like Howard Dean before him, he's a populist Vermont lefty that can cause trouble for Democrats that traditionally have catered to big business (you know who you are). The question is, if Hillary runs to the left to secure the nomination, does it really mean anything at all should she win the White House?
