For a movie set in Missouri, this is an excellent Pennsylvania movie.
Rosamund Pike may be one of the most beautiful women in the world, but Carrie Coon is the second hottest thing on the planet. I even knew she was in the movie and I've been enjoying The Leftovers, but I didn't recognize her at first. She's the new (younger, hotter) Melissa Leo in that regard.
In the scenes at the beginning with Rosamund Pike, he sounded like her voice was dubbed over. Like oh, secretly Rosamund Pike sounds like Harvey Fierstein and they had to get somebody in the sound studio to make her sound sweet.
I haven't been on many police investigations but I can't believe any detective answering a call would walk into a home or crime scene carrying a giant cup of coffee.
At times the music didn't work at all, at times it really helped.
