Well, I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'm not planning to leave the dog home all day anyway. (Older dogs are fine with us, I don't really want a puppy.)

I'm sure there are plenty of mixed breeds who are family-friendly and can be left home for a few hours alone without losing their shit. :)
