vacuums can pull circuits off of your motherboard and do not clean as thoroughly as compressed air.
Responses:
and most vacuums come with attachments for lower velocity cleaning (drapes, etc) -- nm

but compressed air can deposit moisture and propellant debris, which can be equally damaging. -- nm

why? the can's are metal and completely recyclable. cramming air into a can doesn't do any harm. -- nm

just MAKING the can, the energy to recycle the can, the fact that probably not every can gets recycled, the cost of buying it when you have a vaccuum

presumably you're not buying a vaccum just to clean your computer. -- nm

that's equally bad. the suction power of a normal vacuum is way to powerful -- nm

as I said a ways above, they usually have attachement that give a lower airflow -- nm

argh, the energy used to make, load, and transport the cans is a waste IMO in this case -- nm

Wouldn't having to build/transport a new computer (when you've detroyed yours by "dusting" it) take more? -- nm
