another person to mention this year is Jackson Jeffcoat. He played for Texas. was a consensus All-American, and won the Ted Hendricks award as the best DE in college football. He got cut by the Seahawks in training camp.

The level of talent in the NFL is brutal. I really don't think homophobia plays a part. A more talented openly gay athlete will come along and dominate and not get cut.
