the world in 2014 is a much different world than it was when Superman started.

this is my point, he is dated. His red blooded american schtick is dated.
People today can not relate to that anymore, so they changed it for the movie, which I can give them credit for. I liked MofS better than any superman movie done after Supes 2, which was my favorite.
Hell, in Superman 2, he even went back to the diner to beat the hell out of the guy who battered Clark.
