It's 'fun', but I don't think it's imperative to see to 'get' the MCU.

Iron Man, you need to see for the spark.
Thor, you need to see to understand why Loki is even relevant.
Avengers...of course.
Cap 2 ... to see how the universe has shifted under the feet of the crew.

Cap 1, I think you can basically just accept in Avengers, that Steve Rogers is the underdog made superb through his heart and convictions of what America is...and have enough to 'get' his character.
