true story - at my poll, there were just two women handling ballots - they were painfully slow

one was a talker. like, she would chat with EVERYONE instead of just processing. you could see people in her line STEAMING as they were waiting and she just gabbed and gabbed.
the second one had MS and was in a wheelchair, which is fine, except her motor skills were limited and flipping the pages and putting the ballot in the secrecy sleeve, and crossing off names with the ruler was hard for her.
i ended up sitting between them near the end and just putting ballots in sleeves, answering questions, etc. i couldn't actually initial the ballots or technically hand them out because 'i wasn't trained for that.' (i had the higher job of revising the list for people who didn't have a card, weren't on the list, but were qualified to vote.)
