I get why the Marvel special tonight bypassed the X-Men and Spider-Man movie franchises, but Iron Man would not have succeeded as well without them. -- nm

IIRC, people not initally sold on the Iron Man as lead character in a movie. People gravitated towards Batman, Superman, Spiderman. -- nm
