as an academic type, i can't call it "bullshit" :; wink wink :: but i understand where you're coming from . . .

i've always been a rock hound since I was a little kid, but I don't put anything into the whole idea that certain rocks, quartz, etc. can influence a person's health. they're cool and look nice on my desk top or something, but that's about it for me :)

but, as a folk studies / culture studies student, i have to approach this from the point of acknowledging that it falls under alternative medical practices and also cultural beliefs . . . so i need to go into it with that attitude for the sake of a paper grade :)
