I assume the trailer was indeed supposed to premiere the following week after AOS and Marvel did the right thing by releasing it online early.

once the cat is out of the bag, you can't get it back in. Marvel released the trailer online immediately and then released additional footage for the AOS premiere. It was smart PR on their part.
