no, not how did it get so very soap-y, and how stoopid charlotte continues to be; but this: have I missed an explanation for what Jack does with baby Carl? they show him at work, visiting Em at all hours, etc., only occasionally with the kid himself - he doesn't have nanny money, so...?

(note: I haven't yet watched last Sunday's ep.)
