13204 words, though I'm hoping to write more tonight. (marginally NSFW)

"I thought you liked Anya." Lauren's biting remark certainly pulled the conversation quickly away from Micah's groin and late night base need.

Drawing the phone back up to focus on his face, he offered a small coy smile that finally turned flat. "There might have been something there had I not dated her roommate."

"Allison."

He nodded, but didn't say anything aloud.
"You still liked her too, huh?"

Micah, caught halfway between playing a sympathetic card and being pinned down with the truth, merely nodded a second time.

"Is that why they all came barging in ruining my surprise? What was all that nonsense about fortune cookies? It was all pretty weird, Micah. Especially that giant guy and, oh, the other guy who just kept staring." Lauren shivered, the video feed of her going to a blur as she pulled the covers more tightly about her neck.

Micah rolled his eyes, "Don't worry about all of that. It's totally stupid. I might have still had some feelings for Allie, but they're only strong right now because she died just so suddenly. Everyone reacts to tragedy in different ways, yanno?"

"Don't go psychology one-oh-one on me. It's gonna be my major when I join you in next year." Lauren made a face, then tried to hide a small smile behind the hand she was resting her head on.

"Fine. I'll come clean. I've always liked Anya too. But if she's gone off the deep end here with this fortune cookies without fortunes killing people business? That's just too out there. And I've got someone far more important to focus on." Micah's voice turned to molasses as he sweet talked the girl.

"Does she go to Beta Theta Pi? I'd love to meet her and claw her eyes out." Lauren teased. "Let me remind you what you completely missed out on getting tonight." Finally rolling onto her back, and through brief flashes of refocused light, she gave Micah a good look at her shorn bald mound. A single shaking finger entered the phone's video frame, and touched upon the delicate fold, then swiftly was yanked back.

"Oh baby. That... I want." Micah oozed lustfully.

"Guess you'll miss your next frat's next party then." Having laid out the bait, Lauren set the trap. A certain mischief had replaced the sleepiness within emerald green eyes. She knew he couldn't resist.

"Or you could come with." The offer was produced, but Micah quickly put on a couple of reservations, "But you have to act mature. Even if we knock back a few, okay? No one can know you go to Park View High School."
