the strip is where the action is, most of the local slackers seem to go to the excalibre as they show on the cheaper package deals

NYNY is a nicer place, and where I ususally end up spending the most time, (the irish bar) Mandalay has a cool pool and shark reef

They pretty much all charge a resort fee. $28 (incl tax) at the MGM. -- nm

The Platinum Hotel is a few blocks off strip and doesn't charge resort fees. No casino. Reviews are good. I want to try it next -- nm
