i officially hate . . . HATE . . . Sandisk flash drives . . . IMO they are absolutely worth pieces of crap for large amounts of storage . . .

a little while ago, I went to access some pdf journal files that I've gathered over the past couple of years while in college (yes, it was all legally obtained through the college library system) . . .
right now, the flash drive is acting up and i cannot access anything on it. for all i know, the files are destroyed or something. if that's the case, my academics have been deep-sixed and i'll be spending a shit ton of time in the near future trying to go through the college library system to search for and save all of those pfs . . . we're talking in the neighborhood of hundreds of files -- HUNDREDS ! -- and I don't even know that i'll be able to replace them all in time.
there are no words for the level of sickness, disdain, and hatred i have for this piss poor brand of flash drives right now. i've had problems with another one in the past w/ a lot of my MP3 song files and now this . . .
time to get some new flash drives by a different brand and try to figure all of this out. as if I didn't have enough to worry about right now with 4.5 weeks to go in this semester . . .
