ah...yeah that explains it. It does take a while to build up the cardio endurance...

not to mention the muscles you need to do it.
Has the walking coach recommended that you use a treadmill on the off days from the clinic?
I think it's great that you're doing this now instead of you're late 30's.
I had run a lot in my 20's to early 30's. Then got married and divorced and dealt with my mom dying so I had quit a lot of stuff. So when I got back into it, it was murder to build back up. But I'm totally glad I did. I started out walking and have gradually build back up.
Don't get discouraged, and keep doing it.
