hmmm...my bank is offering a 2.55% variable APR on a 15-year private student loan consolidation.

I can pay it off in 9 years by plowing the savings into extra payments.

Current average fixed rate on my existing federal loans is 5.13%.

The only thing that makes me nervous is that its a variable rate.
