I am very conflicted on this topic. I love animals, but I know the shelters are overrun

and most of these animals will not get adopted. (especially the ones with pit mixes)
Responses:
Being a pit mix is not an automatic death sentence, if the shelter is willing to make an effort (too many aren't). We just helped find a great home

yep, pit rescues go and pluck them out of that environment.

oh, I know. I also know my last visit to the local shelter, was 90% pit mixes.
