Though without being on a sulfur island I can only build my military so far for now. I colonized a marble island a few days ago and sulfur will be next.
I'll just keep pillaging and buying the wine I need for a while.

When it comes to pillaging, it's all good to pillage from someone that isn't in an alliance, right?
