I noticed my beta fish at the bottom of the tank and he looked swollen. Turned out he was dying and couldn't swim up for air.

I scooped him up with the net and set it on the rim of the tank so that almost his whole body was in the water but his mouth in the air.He lived another two days.
I had him for four plus years. I have not had another since but I've been itching to get another but the shop I got my last one from is gone. For some reason I can't bring myself to buy one from Petco.
